Peter Allen

BCom (University of Auckland) ACA MInstD

Peter is the creator of Business Torque Systems. He has a unique perspective on the needs and potential of small business owners. Having started and operated a successful accounting firm for twenty-one years until 2008 when he sold it, he has since 2000 been working with clients in the practice of small enterprise governance, and by holding regular board meetings.

Peter has had more than 4,500 interviews with clients since 1987, and through the findings of client questionnaires used with every client over the last 11 years has conducted research into what makes small enterprise governance work. This is the foundation of the Business Torque Systems Ltd services Peter is now offering.

Peter combines his extensive experience, insight, and talent with a genuine concern for clients, to be a leader in the practice of small enterprise governance in New Zealand.

Peter has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland (with a double major in accounting and management studies), is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand, and a member of Institute of Directors of NZ.

Peter and his wife Alexandra have been married for 32 years and have four children.
